Our New Addition

I'm sure you all are wondering why we haven't updated our blog in a while. Well, Sam and I have a new addition to our family. It's Sam's baby. We didn't want to tell anyone until it had arrived. It's a Dell Inspiron 530 desktop with a 22 inch flat screen monitor. It has an Intel Q6600 Core 2 with Quad Core Technology Processor at 2.4 Ghz with 4 GB of 800 Mhz ram. It has a 500 GB hard drive, an ATI 2600 video card with 256 MB of ram. Also, it has a DVD burner and a CD burner. It is SUPER quiet and it is SUPER fast. (BTW.....Sam's telling me what to write for this posting. I really don't know this much about our computer!) Ohhhhhhyeeeeee is it nice! Our other computer kind of kicked the bucket. We've been HIGHLY distracted because Sam bought me the Sims 2 game and that game is WAY addicting. Sam and I have already made our Sim characters (London and Chumballa) fall in love and marry each other! They are the CUTEST couple! Now that our computer monitor is nicer than our tv monitor....we now need a new tv!! Hahahha! It never ends! Once you upgrade one thing.....it just keeps spiraling.

Happy Anniversary! Holy cow, does time fly!!!!

Sam and I went to Lake Arrowhead this weekend. We had fun . . .

riding the boat tour,

looking at the MASSIVE homes there, (This is a 21,000 square foot home. The entire bottom level is a garage made for their 15 Ferrarris. Must be nice!)

eating WAY too much ice cream,
(my ice cream cone is on the right and it's only a single scoop! And yes, we both did eat it all! Hey, we're on vacation! :) )

going to the cute shops, , and just spending time together. Sadly, Sam has a HUGE test in his MBA class on the day of our anniversary (the 20th). So this was our anniversary trip. We still had fun, even if it was just for the day! 3 years of marriage down.....an eternity to go! :)!

Sam's "Weekend" Project

Sam's "Weekend" Project

This project was only suppose to last one weekend. It actually ended up taking 3 weekends. The girl who owned our house before us tried to kill our grape plants by chopping them down to the base. It didn't kill the grape plants, but it caused them to get vines that grew all along the bottom of our flower bed. One of the grape vines was 20-30 feet long!!! So, Sam made an arbor so that the grapes would have something to grow on. The grape plants sure look happier and our yard looks amazing! Didn't Sam do such a great job?!!? Nice work honey!!

One Pampered Girl!

I feel so pampered this week! Last Saturday (April 26th) , I got my hair done...which is my monthly ritual. Then on Friday (May 3rd), my carpool buddy FORCED me to get a manicure and a pedicure. I now have acrylic French tipped toes and boy do they look cute!! The following day, on Saturday, my Mom and I got Swedish massages for her birthday and Mother's Day. Oh that was heaven! You know, I could really get use to all of this pampering. It's a tough job, but I'll sure volunteer to do it!! If only life consisted of constant pampering.....*sigh*.

The Biggest Procrastinators in the World

Ok...so Sam and I are the BIGGEST procrastinators when it comes to doing things that we don't want to do. Our doctor told us back in February to get some blood work done. Sam and I FINALLY went and did our blood work on....ummm....Wednesday, 2 months later. There's a good reason for that too. Sam did his 4 viles with no problems at all. My doctor told me that I was only going to have to do 4 viles.....WRONG!! They actually needed 6 viles! Let's just say it was quite a tramatic experience for both myself and the person taking my blood. I looked like I was a wounded soldier with the bandages all over anywhere that she attempted to take my blood. Next time, I think I'll hire somebody to give me their blood. Hahah!

I felt like I was on a roll this week with accomplishing things that I've been procrastinating all year long. Currently, I do not have my clear California teaching credential because I have an out of state credential. I've been trying to take classes to clear my CA credential and I only needed 1 more class. Except, my school district had no clue what the class was that I needed. After MONTHS AND MONTHS of procrastinating, I finally called one of the colleges around here. The credentialing analyst contacted the State of CA's credentialing department and we found out that I don't have to take that class!! Because I've already taken some of the other required classes, they're going to waive my last class!! WOOHOO!! So now I have to pay some money and my credential will come in 6 months! YEAH! Mission accomplished.

Maybe this is a new start on life, with no more procrastinating. I think I'll start tomorrow!! :)!

Back to Normal Life...

Ok, so I know that we've been back from London for a few weeks, and now it's time to get back to reality! We JUST unpacked our bags on Saturday and I just reset my watch to California time on Sunday. I keep thinking that we'll be going back to England in a few weeks. Haha!

The temperature sure is different here though. It's been in the 70's and 80's with 0% humidity here in CA. Back in England, we were lucky to see temperatures reach the 40's with 80% humidity and the occasional gust of 20mph wind. BRRRR!!! It was ice cold. Despite the frigid weather there, I'd really rather be back in England than to get back to the monotony of normal life.

I now find myself watching the BBC News in the evening just to hear the British accents once more. Although I don't think I can resort to watching any of their lame shows though (you know, the reruns of "Keeping Up Appearances" on PBS). Oh the British humor!

I think perhaps I'll purchase 2 tickets to go back to England this summer...and Sam won't have to know about it until the day before we leave. Oh would he get a kick out of that!! If any of you would like to support the "Help Sam and Marcie Return Back to England in July 2008" fund, feel free to donate. We'll accept cash, credit, money orders, first borns, or used tires (the tires are Sam's touch on this posting). Oh wait a second! Maybe I don't want your first born....I want to see their temperaments first!! Hahaha! Operators will be standing by to take your calls!
