Can you just picture this?! Me, laying on a floaty in the middle of the ocean (with a body like that) with Sam (a.k.a the man in the uniform) bringing me something cold to drink and our cruise ship floating in the background. Ahhh! What a life. Well, part of this is true. The whole me on the floaty and Sam bringing me a drink is totally false, but we are going on a cruise next month in celebration of our 5 year anniversary (it's actually in May, but this is the only week we could do it). This will be our first cruise and I'M SO EXCITED! It's a 5 day, 4 night cruise and we're going from Long Beach to Catalina. We'll spend a day in Catalina. Then we'll sail to Ensenada and hang out there for a day. The next day will be a ship day as we sail back, and then we'll be back to Long Beach the following day. We are going during spring break (cursed teacher schedule!), but we figure that all the college students will get so wasted in Ensenada that they'll have a hangover the rest of the trip. Heheh! I'm excited just to spend some quality time with Sam, since he won't let me go to Europe this year (what a meanie!). Since this is our first cruise and the first time we'll be in Catalina or Ensenada, does anyone have any suggestions on things to do?

Em, I've heard that too, about staying in the touristy spots. I think we're gonna have to anyways just because our Spanish is muy malo!! :).

Matt and I went on our honeymoon to Ensenada (I'm not sure if you remembered that). Surprisingly, the food was pretty bland and boring. Not the typical Mexican food that you would remember. I know that you will have a blast! Take lots of pictures!

Cruises are THE BEST! Chad and I have been on two and we would love to go again! You might have already left, but just so you know.... the "Blow-hole" is the only excursion worth doing that the cruise suggests in Ensenada, unless you tour yourself. We actually went on that exact cruise!!! I AM SO JEALOUS! Cruises are WONDERFUL!
we used to go there all of the time to eat lobster and then drive back---

Chris said you guys should go swimming in Catalina...um I don't think so! Go for a walk, we enjoyed the bus tour of the history of the island. Then you should get ice cream, walk down to the casino and then right past the casino walk to Dasconte(spelling?) beach. It's so pretty and take your camera. There is some sort of beautiful garden on the island too (we didn't go). Have fun!
