9 Words Women Use-This is CLASSIC!!

(1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
(2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.
(3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!
(5) Loud Sigh: This actually isn't a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.) (6) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a woman can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
(7) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or Faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' . that will bring on a 'whatever').
(8) Whatever: Is a women's way of saying the really bad word
(9) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.

Oliver the Cat

Here's our rambunctious cat, Oliver. So far, he's been ran over by our car, he's been trapped by our cat hating neighbor and taken to the pound, and he's had cat pneumonia. He's definitely used up about 3 of his lives! He sure is fun to have around though!

A few weeks ago, we were raking leaves in our backyard and Oliver decided to lay in the pile. He looked so cute and so we had to take a picture of him.

I'm getting ready for some fish n' chips!

Here's a webite that I found to get everyone in the London mood! It's a webcam of various places in London. I check it daily! Enjoy!

Cranberry-White Chocolate Cookies

This is our new favorite recipe. It's easy and so scrumptious!
Ingredients
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/3 cups sugar
2 large eggs
1 /2 cups white chocolate morsels
1 (6-ounce) package sweetened dried cranberries

Combine flour and next 3 ingredients; set aside. Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating until blended after each addition.
Add flour mixture to butter mixture gradually, beating at low speed until blended. Stir in white chocolate morsels and cranberries.
Drop cookie dough by heaping tablespoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets.
Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned on bottom. Remove to wire racks to cool completely.

Makes about 3 dozen

London or Bust!!

Hiyah chaps! We are SOOOO excited! Sam and I are going to London for Spring Break! We're going to be staying in a cute apartment near Hyde Park. Sam and I also bought a 3-day pass to see the Tower of London, London Aquarium, London Zoo, Kensington Palace, St. Paul's Cathedral, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, and so on! We also bought a one day excursion to see Leeds Castle, Canterbury, and the cliffs of Dover. Since Sam served his mission in England, he's REALLY looking forward to go back......all except that 10 1/2 hour plane flight!!! We can't wait! Only 55 more days until we leave!! Ta love!

Welcome to the 21st Century

OK.....so Sam and I decided to get with the times and actually start a blog. How exciting! Ok, so Sam didn't have much say in it, but I'm pretty excited to get started. Woohoo!
