We Have a Talker Here. . .

Patton has turned into a real chatterbox! He's not making any words yet, but he's sure trying. Since we've moved him into sleeping in his crib he'll rarely cry when he wakes up. I know he's awake because I can here him jabbering away. It's really adorable! I really don't even want to know what he's trying to say! Haha! Enjoy! :). I know the video quality is pretty terrible, but at least you can hear him!

Patton Update

Well, we took Patton to the doctor's last week. He currently weighs 11lbs, 11.6 oz and he's 23.25 inches long. He's in about the 60th percentile, so he's pretty average. It's amazing to think that he's almost doubled his birth weight. I've noticed that he's starting to chunk up. He even has a cute little roll on his leg. I'm pretty sure that means that he's getting ready for a growth spurt.
It's been so much fun to see his personality develop. As long as all his needs are met (and he's not gassy), he's usually pretty calm and mellow. In fact, when people first meet him they usually ask "Is he always this mellow?" and we answer "yes". He's also pretty active. He loves to be held, but he also loves to just lay on the ground and kick his little legs and arms. We know that we've definitely been blessed with such a sweet, calm baby (I just hope it lasts and it's not a phase! :) ).

The second thing people say to us is "He looks just like Sam!" and I couldn't agree more! He has the same face shape, hair line, and eye color as Sam (our doctor said that because his eyes are SO incredibly blue, that they'll likely stay blue). It's just amazing! Even Sam's Mom was telling me that Patton looks like Sam. It's just another testament that this little guy is suppose to be in our family! We love him so much and we look forward to learning more about his amazing personality! He was definitely worth the wait! :)

Just Something to Make Your Day. . .

Look at that face! It just makes my day! :) Patton is getting into a really fun phase. . . he's really starting to interact with us. When I go to pick him up after a nap, or when I go to change him, he just bursts into a huge smile. It's absolutely adorable. His expressions just melt my heart. He's also started cooing recently too. He'll look at you right in the eyes and just start jabbering away. Now, if only I could figure out what he's actually saying (maybe I don't want to know! LOL). We also noticed that he's getting pretty long and skinny. He's already outgrown his newborn clothes. It makes me sad because then that means that he's growing up. We take him to the doctor's next week, so we'll see what his stats are, and then I'll post again. We'll see what changes take place within him in the next week! :)
